Protection of Workers' Rights:
- Mission Statement: Promote the welfare and protect the rights of the labour force and workmen.
- Objectives: Safeguard workers' rights, promote healthy industrial relations, and ensure housing, health, safety, and protection for workers.
- Dispute Resolution: Maintain industrial peace through conciliation, arbitration, and adjudication.
- Trade Union Management: Register/de-register trade unions/federations and conduct referendums for Collective Bargaining Agents.
- Enforce labour welfare laws across various sectors (factories, transport).
- Implement policies against child/bonded labour in line with national/international standards.
- Provide training through the Industrial Relations Institute to enhance working conditions and improve safety/health standards at workplaces.
- Provide marriage grants and talent scholarships.
- Manage and distribute education cess.
